Landlords 2022 is an initiative of the Smoke Alarm Association Australia Ltd.
It’s a simple idea. Landlords save more when they work together.
Why Landlords 2022?
New Queensland smoke alarm legislation was developed following Coronial recommendations handed down after the 2011 Slacks Creek fatal house fire which claimed 11 lives. SAA has calculated that complying with the new rules will cost Queensland landlords approximately $400 million, with an average cost of $1,000 per property. This is a very significant cost for a landlord.
SAA developed the Landlords 2022 strategy with the sole purpose of saving landlords money and easing their financial burden.
Realising that there is purchasing power in large numbers, Landlords 2022 is the vehicle that unites all Queensland landlords and uses their combined purchasing power to negotiate a significantly lower cost of compliance. We aim to unite more than 200,000 landlords resulting in us being able to negotiate (on all landlords behalf) the purchase of more than 1 million smoke alarms – which will obviously result in dramatic cost savings for landlords. Our aim is to reduce your cost of compliance by up to 50%.
The more landlords that unite in Landlords 2022 – the more money we can potentially save for everyone.
